I think this grinder is great if you raise your animal on using it.

 Even though its very quite almost to the point you think your battery is dead but it's not it's just low. 

You have to make sure you click to cut the power charger light on first before it cuts on. Because at first I thought it wasn't working until I figured that out on my own. 

It does come with a cover for the grinder.

How to help your pets adapt to clip nails?

1. For the first use, dogs and owners all need time to adapt it; Be prepared for that dogs might Refuse to be clipped nails.
2. If your dogs' nails never be clipped, you should show it to you pet firstly by let your dog smell it or listen to its sound from running motor. (be sure the grinder is covered)
3. Usually touch the dog's claws and build trust between you and your dog.
4. Just remember do not force your dog to be trimmed to prevent pet are too scared to scratch you, and never want to be trimmed.
