A lot of times you get a laptop or tablet and the cord gets bent over time from common use. It's just normal wear and tire from using it. It happens so many times to us all me included. Then your left with having to buy a new cord. This cord works just as good as the manufacturer that came with it. It doesn't overheat. Fits great and works good.
